I hold a PhD in Philosophy in Anthropology from the Mindanao Anthropology Consortium, with extensive academic and professional experience in cultural heritage management and museums. I have held leadership positions, including National Head of the National Museum Committee for the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in the Philippines, and I served as the Executive Director of the North Kitanglad Heritage Foundation.

Throughout my career, I have curated notable museums, such as the Museum of Three Cultures at Capitol University. Additionally, I facilitated the curatorial collaboration of Museyo Kutawato, and have been involved in the evaluation of cultural sites across the Philippines. I have also shared my expertise internationally, representing the Philippines in UNESCO bodies and participating in conferences worldwide.

My research focuses on culture and power, ethnohistory, and the anthropology of transculturalism, supported by numerous publications in recognised journals. Furthermore, I am a prolific opinion columnist, contributing to major Filipino media outlets such as the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Rappler, and Vera Files, where I provide critical analysis of Mindanao’s culture and politics.
